Soroptimist International of the Americas is a global volunteer
organization working to improve the lives of women and girls through
programs leading to social and economic empowerment. It is one
of four Federations of Soroptimist International which has clubs in
more than 120 countries throughout the world.
Formerly the Northeastern Region, we recently began merging with the
North Atlantic Region to become its 5th District, and
this merger is anticipated to be complete by June 30, 2021. The
merger will allow our clubs to increase their collective impact by
partnering with other clubs and members to invest in the dreams of
women and girls. SIA North Atlantic Region District 5 represents
approximately 200 business and professional women who are members of
ten clubs in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The
District covers the New England states - Connecticut, Maine,
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
