Service Projects:
The current major club project is providing
furnishings, adaptive equipment, decorating and financial support
for the handicapped-accessible bedroom and bathroom in the newly
renovated local domestic violence shelter. Additional support is
given to this shelter through "as needed" cleaning services provided
by club members, educational programs, mentoring and collections of
toiletries and clothing items for residents. Other club projects
include providing emergency kits for victims of sexual assault and
financial support given to the Soroptimist International "Project
Independence" to assist women survivors of war in Afghanistan,
Bosnia and Herzegovina and Rwanda.
